See comments under this image. This speciemen resembles Eucyrtidium acuminatum, a species which may be conspecific with E. hexagonatum. Note that Johnson and Nigrini (1980, Marine Micropaleontology, p.129) found many specimens of Eucyrtidium acuminatum that are transitional to E. hexagonatum. Boltovskoy (1998, fig. 15.137)indicates that the two may be conspecific. |
