I - specimen in which closing of "thorax" has occurred, viewed from below, from right, and slightly anteriorly;
II - completed shell, posterior view (both specimens from sediments of station 220); III - specimen with growing thorax, viewed posteriorly and from below; IV - rather atypical specimen, anterior view (both from North Atlantic, station S 2104); V - very small, but adult specimen viewed from left (from sediments of North Atlantic, station S 1056).
